Tadpoles in Autumn

We decided to go for a little Autumn walk in Bedfont. I had spotted some beautiful pink leaves when we ran parkrun the Saturday before and I wanted us to pick some for some craft work. The paths were very wet though, so the walk turned more into pond dipping.

Ayla wanted to pick some berries.

And then everyone got into some serious pond dipping.

And exploring.

Ayla enjoyed stomping up and down the boarded area with her new boots.

And there are always sticks involved.

And the big surprise of the day was finding a tadpole.  It has been caught and duly brought home with a lot of pondweed and water snails..
