Camping Trip to Bath - Day 2

Today was to be our highlight to the trip to Bath - seeing the actual Roman Baths.
Dad made breakfast, and a fine breakfast of eggs on toast with bacon it was(twas the best fried eggs I have ever had).

Aahh the sunshine arrives after quite an unexpectedly chilly night.
We paid for a family entry into the Baths, and the girls and I got the audio tour to listen to. There was a children's version, but I think they flipped between the adult and children versions throughout the tour. A little overview:

The Roman Baths have been excavated over the last 300 years. The excavation was successful up to about 1m and the rest had to be built up to the original. The spa that supplied the water is Britains only natural spring producing 1.1 millions of litres per day of mineral water at a temperature of 46 deg Celsius.
The statues were added in the 18th Century.

The carved blocks from the pediment of the Temple of Sulis Minerva. The girls were quite interested in the audio for this one, as there is reference to Greek Mythology here too which they have studied.
Even though you were not meant to touch the water, I couldn't resist putting my hand in. The steam was rising from it, so it was difficult to gauge the temperature. This water is fed from the spring and comes up into the pool at about 46 degs and is untreated.
This is the cold plunge pool where the Romans would complete their visit to the steam rooms with a cold plunge to rinse off, freshen up and close the pores of their skin.
Once outside we took a little stroll through Bath - Eden gives Niamh a piggy back.
We stopped to watch this really funny street performer, who pulled Jude into his performance.
Jude dressed Hip Hop style.
He enjoyed all the attention and earned his first pound ever.
