My Old Dutch restaurant
We wanted to end off our Netherlands study with a trip to this Dutch restaurant that my brother had recommended. It worked out quite well as I needed to go for a one week post op check up and the restaurant was just 5km away from the hospital.
This was a first, cherry beer, Mike really enjoyed it.
Lovely artwork around the restaurant.
Clogs on the wall.
Eden ordered the kaasbollen for starters, it is amazing how much of the dutch language we can understand just from knowing Afrikaans.
Michael enjoyed a Morrocan lamb pancake for mains, while the rest of the children had soup.
Lovely big pancakes for dessert.
Ciara had poffertjes for dessert. I had wanted to try this recipe but you need a special pan to cook them in.
After our meal we went across the road to the Wholefoods market, Kensington. Everything in this shop is a feast for the eyes and focused on healthy and organic, definitely my kind of shop.
