Holiday to Spain - Arriving on the first day
We arrived in Spain after stressful circumstances. We missed our 6:20am plane due to systems being down at Heathrow, and had to catch a later plane at 11:30. Once we arrived in Spain, we picked up our hire car and found it a little tricky at first to drive on the right hand side of the road. The road layout is also different, so Michael found himself going off the main highway that we were meant to keep on for most of the way, and then we got quite lost before we managed to get back on the highway again(there were also roadworks going on, so had to find a different route, it wasn't fun). But finally we arrived to a very warm welcome from our host Penny, who put on a kettle for us straight away, and had a very lovely meal awaiting us. That was one of the best things about the holiday, it was fully catered for, so we did not have to make any of our own meals, and we were treated to some lovely Spanish and Moroccan food as well as good company at dinner times.
Our very cosy yurt, it was positioned near the river, so we got to sleep with the lovely sound of the river burbling.

The lovely river. The temperatures were so hot, that it was just wonderful to cool off in this lovely clean river many times a day.
It didn't take the children long to start exploring.
We lived very much with this all around us, we felt so isolated from everything it was a lovely tranquil place.
