Holiday to Spain - Day 7 - Exploring the river and another trip to the beach

We had a nice blend of spending one day at or near the Finca, and the next on a day trip out. So today we decided to go exploring up the river. The children had gone on a long walk with Kit, Mike and the dogs the day before, and had really gone quite cross country, they came back looking scratched, muddy wet and dishevelled, Mike wanted us to go back to the place up the river that they had found the previous day.

We had to cross over into the river when the land got too overgrown.
We came across this lovely picturesque pool.
I so enjoyed watching this staffie, and how curious she was about what was going on under the water, she literally stared into the water for hours watching all the moving creatures below. By the last two days we were there she had started eating the tadpoles out of the water which her owners had never seen her do.
The swim in this pool was indescribably lovely, the water got really deep too.
After Ciara woke up, we headed down to the beach.

The children spent ages building towers with this set of jenga blocks, it doesn't take involved toys to keep children happy.
