Grant and Linda gave the children a sky lantern for Christmas and they were so excited to set it off on New Years Eve, but unfortunately the wind was too strong for it to get airborne and we had to put it out as it threatened to fly off into all directions :(
We woke up to a glorious, sunny day not a cloud in the sky. We so much wanted to be outdoors, but it was a freezing expedition - the fresh air did the children wonders though, they just loved running around.
Looking for rabbit holes.
Ciara much happier to walk as usual.
I think I was the cosiest with my UGG boots(my feet didn't even feel slightly cold), and my new sheepskin gloves which I got for Christmas.
Jude is still not feeling well, in fact he seems more ill than when he had the croup, but the croup cough has definitely gone.
We could still enjoy the lovely Park bathed in sunshine.

Eden was pleased to find a mobile phone, we gave it in at the shop.
The other day Michael was drooling over the custard pastries in a coffee shop, so that gave me and idea to make some of my own. It has been perhaps 18 years since my High School best friend last inspired me to make Danish Pastries, but I saw a recipe in the bread machine book so couldn't resist making some this week. These are marzipan, apricot, custard Danish Pastries, and they were a big hit with everyone in the house, I had to leave the marzipan out of Eden's however since she really doesn't like it and thinks it is entirely too sweet.
