It was so lovely to have my birthday on a bank holiday so we could all be together. Eden had suggested Kew Gardens so off we went first thing in the morning. It was so lovely to see it back to it's green splendour after our very dry spell. We headed to the children's play area, and Ayla had a chance to "walk" around too.
We then had a nice walk around, and the children found this lovely Rhododendron tree to climb. After that we were going to stop off in Richmond Park to pick some blackberries, but were so hungry we ended up going to lunch at one of our favourite spots - Bar Estilo.
I snapped this photo of Ayla and have just cropped it to show you the interesting colour of her eyes. I am still not sure what colour they are, they intrigue me so, they seem to be so many colours at once at times, and other times a different colour altogether. Click on the pic for a closer look.
Jude bashed into the wall at our house on Saturday, and immediately he had a big swelling, but after one sleep the swelling went down, but the damage caused him to have a really bruised eye when he woke up the following morning, it looked really terrible.
This was the yummiest bread ever, and this time only Mike and I enjoyed the olives(they are normally snapped up by everyone), because they had really burny chillies on them. Eden however really enjoyed the Aioli for dipping the bread in.
Ayla was quite taken with this balloon.
The restaurant is alongside the River Thames, and Michael happened to spot our friends Myles and Tiffany going for a cycle, they stopped for a chat and took a photo of us.
The highlight for the children is always the helium balloons which they get to take home.
Mike took Ayla for a little walk outside, you can just see the river in the background.
