Strawberry lemonade

I spotted this recipe and it made me think of Eden straight away. Two things she really enjoys, strawberries and lemonade. She grabbed the opportunity to make it(and double it):

1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
4 cups water
3/4 cup sugar (I thought it was too sweet, however Mike didn't so just adjust according to your taste)
1/2 tsp salt - Eden left this out
1 cup fresh strawberries

Squeeze the juice from the lemons, strain to get rid of the pips and pulp. Cool in the fridge. Place water, sugar, salt and strawberries in a saucepan and bring to the boil over medium heat. Stir the mixture regularly with a wooden spoon and crush the strawberries. Continue to boil stirring often, until the sugar has dissolved and a light syrup has formed(about 2 minutes). Remove from heat, allow to cool, cover and refrigerate until well chilled. Strain the syrup, add the lemon juice and stir well. Taste the mixture and dilute with water or sparkling water if necessary. More sugar can be added to taste. Serve over ice. (Lemons may be replaced with limes.)
