Today when Eden had her lesson, I asked the teacher if he would be preparing Eden to do her Grade 2 in December, and he looked at me quite surprised and said, yes of course but she will be doing her Grade 3 or 4 next. This came as quite a surprise to us, we had not expected her to be skipping grades, of course Eden is so excited to be working towards her Grade 3 over the summer. (In fact when I looked at the list of pieces she needs to play for the exam, she has already learnt the 3 pieces she needs to know, and only has to learn the scales and exercises as well as the aural, we hadn't realized she had been learning exam pieces at all).
