Busy kids

Niamh has been encouraging Jude along in his violin practice. It has been amazing for me to watch Jude start violin. Niamh seems so accomplished now compared to him, I really had forgotten how very difficult it is for those little hands and fingers to make a tune. There is sooo much to remember and get right in the beginning it can be a very frustrating thing for a young child, but we do little often and already Jude has come along in strides.
Ciara enjoys pulling out her maths workbook when the others are doing their maths, it's these small advances that make the day easier and more fulfilling.
Eden has been working on a new grade 7 piece for the last two weeks. She is so excited when her teacher gives her a higher grade to learn, and she has worked this one out all on her own(no help from me at all). I think this is a very important point she has got to, she needs to figure out the fingers, timing, music, and character by herself, and each time she gets it wrong she is learning a great deal, we certainly do learn a lot from our mistakes.
And the big news of the week is that Ciara has started ballet and tap. She has spoken about ballet and gymnastics for well over a year now, and has always expressed an interest in movement and dancing. We are so fortunate that we know the teacher, who attends our church, and Ciara absolutely adores her, so Ciara's enthusiasm for the class was huge, she paid such careful attention to all that she needed to do, and tried so hard.
