Well this was an actual event that occured in history but also paints a picture of what Christ was going to do. The flood was a picture of the judgement to come. The people in the ark are the people who chose to repent for their sins and receive forgiveness. The ark was a picture of Jesus, those who are in Him will be safe on the day of judgement as where Noah and his family when the flood came.
Matthew 24:36-39, 42
[Jesus said,] “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the
angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only. As were the
days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of man. For as in
those days before the flood they were eating and drinking,
marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered
the ark, and they did not know until the flood came and swept
them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of man. … Watch
therefore, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.”
Ciara drew a rainbow with colours upside down, she really is enjoying writing.
