Observing silkworms and a beautiful lesson

We have all been fascinated by the development of our silkworms, and I love how the children have got so involved in this litte micro habitat. They have observed the silkworms for hours, and especially Eden is so familiar with all their mannerisms, patterns, feeding habits and growth. They literally have gorged themselves over the past few weeks, and have grown a crazy amount.
Eden was so shocked when one of them just popped his head right off, well he was actually moulting and his head came off separately to his body.
Getting bigger.
Really massive now, I am sure they will spin soon, the topic of which led to a lovely conversation between myself and Eden, and got me thinking about the verse below.

"Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:3

Eden had asked me how they knew how and when to spin. I explained that the Lord has given them instinct, a kind of a programming whereby they know when and how to do these things. She stood there as she has many times before with an awestruck face, and said, "Mom, how can it be any other way, I know the Lord has made these silkworms, because if they came about by evolution there is no way they would know how and when to spin, just no way". I know it sounds a simple thing, but read the verse above again. The Lord is saying we need to become like children in our faith. Eden knew that the only logical explanation for these silkworms spinning is that God had to have programmed them to, she wasn't filling her brain with any of the escape clauses that so many people today use to reason God out of the picture, she was believing it purely like a child does, and a lesson in how we ought to believe. So many children believe in God, though their parents do not and have not taught them about God, but it always amazes me how they just believe Him to be true.
