Hog Roast
The children have been looking forward to going to the hog roast again this year(it has been two years since the last one), and it nearly didn't happen for us as our car had to go in again to get repaired, but fortunately Michael managed to organise a lovely 4X4 7 seater for the weekend.
The sun was out when we arrived and the kids got straight into their cossies and into the pool, Ayla is getting more and more confident each time she is near a pool. The water was incredibly warm, the warmest I have ever felt pool water in my life. Apparently a mistake had been made with the boiler and the water was over 30 deg.
It was great to see that Niamh hasn't forgotten how to dive since our SA'n trip.
Jude got stuck in with the jumping too.
Ciara was chuffed to be wearing Julia's old costume.
Jude doing more stunts.
Ayla then spent some time in her floatie.
And Eden being her dramatic self and doing an extravagant jump into the pool.
Whilst the hog roasted.
What a gorgeous pool to have in one's back garden, we feel very blessed that the family in our church open their house up for all to enjoy.
Then Ayla got out and just sat playing with her toes in the water.
It was really lovely to have Jacob from Mike's work join us too.
And the men enjoyed many games of croquet.
Ayla lost her sandals in Kew Gardens, and it was a bit hot to wear trainers, but going around barefoot caused her to stub her toe so many times, so she had to get some tlc from her Daddy.
The children swam all afternoon, and Ciara spent ages just swimming on Helen's back. Eventually I asked Rebecca for the time to see if it was time to leave, and was totally shocked that it was nearly 8pm. The children had swum from 2:30 till 8, with a quick jump out to eat dinner, and then again for pudding. Needless to say they were totally wiped out, and the three littlies fell asleep in the car on the way home, Ciara didn't even wake a little while I dressed her in pj's and popped her in bed. Thank you so much Helps family for your wonderful hospitality and a lovely day spent with our favourite people.

Wonderful that you were able to go again. Just great to see you all enjoying the pool so much. Did not see you in the pool though Fi, and where were James, Lana and family?
