The children have literally been begging me to take them to the farm for weeks and weeks. We have been waiting for a nice carefree week with some good sunshine, and the perfect day happened to be the Monday after their music exams. The day however was extremely hot, and although I sunblocked the children up it still felt like we were getting really burnt.
Everything but everything had babies which was so lovely for us all to see, from the rabbits to the llamas to the ponies to the goats. The children had a lot of fun feeding all the animals.
Eden wasted no time in grabbing Ayla out the pushchair and was so excited to take her around and teach her about all the animals, these two really have such a lovely special bond.
And what a treat to see the micro piglets. We first saw the normal size piglets, and then headed around to see these and the size difference was remarkable, these piglets looked the size of tiny puppies.
After we finished looking at the animals, we headed outside to the phenomenal play area to have our lunch. The children had been looking forward to jumping on this big air pillow.
I got on with Ayla, but the motion made me feel so sick I was glad to get off of it.

Ciara found some slides.
And we were lucky enough to watch a peacock courting a peahen, what an extravagant display he put on, I had never heard the loud rattling/shaking noise they make with their feathers before.
These slides always amaze me.
Then we headed indoors for a play in the indoor area. By this time Ayla was not doing so well, she was getting really miserable, so we left a short time after.
But we had a small diversion to see a baby donkey that was just a few days old, isn't he so sweet. There was a competition on to name him, so Eden entered the name Jack-Lee, Niamh had Boris, and Jude had Bilbo.
Isn't the countryside lovely.
