Braving the pools on my own!

Last week was so very very hot that the children were asking for water relief in any shape or form, whether it be from a hosepipe in the garden or a blow up pool. So on Friday afternoon I finally said let's go to the swimming pool, needless to say I was very popular. It was brave on my part to take 5 children on my own, and they said that they normally require one adult to three children max, but I assured them that Eden and Niamh could swim.
Jude did not even bother with the small pool and was straight in the big pool and down the slides all by himself, he was a lot more independant than I anticipated thanks to the swimming lessons he has been doing.
Since all school going age children were at school, the big pool was really empty - what a pleasure.
Ciara went in the water with me while Ayla slept in her pram close to the pool under my watchful eye. For Ciara it was like she was discovering the joy of swimming for the first time, she had so much fun and all of the nerves that she had displayed last year were well and truly gone. Jude took it upon himself to look after her in the learner pool and carried her around in the deeper parts.
The face of enjoyment!

Jude,

What a sweet brother to help your little sister enjoy the pool. She really seems to be enjoying it too.

Love you lots, from nana.
