Bushy first thing Saturday morning
Same old story, I had lots to do Saturday morning around the house, but when we saw the gorgeous weather outside we could not resist joining Grandad to go and watch Grant run the 5km time trial.
And here he is on his last km going strong.
We didn't realize the Russell children would be there so Ciara got a nice surprise seeing one of her favourite people in all the world.
I was surprised to see one of Eden's homeschool friends there(Niamh had seen him first). He is 8 years old and had run the 5km time trial that morning(wow). I went over to chat to him and he told his dad we were here, so his dad Virgil came over to chat to us(the man on the left). We really get on with their family who were missionaries in Southern Africa, but have now immigrated to the UK. He explained to me how he trains with his two eldest children(10 and 8) and now they both run the 5km on Saturdays, wow I thought that was great. He has inspired me to get our girls running, Niamh especially is extremely enthusiastic about running, and Eden is also keen on running the Bushy race. He explained how their day is so much better just because the children are fit and well exercised, well watch this space to see our children start running.
Having a nice chat in the sunshine, we later met another South African couple, just through the children's interest in their Golden Retriever(it's amazing how many people we get to chat too through our children's interest in their doggies).

Hello kids,
That is great that you are fond of dogs, and other animals.
We love our doggie too, and look forward to when you can play with her.
Also great that you are running now, hope you keep it up.
love nana.
