A day at Frensham Great Pond
Linda told us about these ponds earlier in the week, and since the weekend was so gloriously sunny we decided to grab the opportunity to go. (Interestingly these ponds were completely drained in WW2 as they were used by the Germans as markers from the air).
It was so big I think it should be called a lake not a pond, the beach was lovely and sandy.
Dad going in with Jude, the water was very warm.
Niamh going out to daddy in the middle with her armbands on.
Ciara amazed us at how much she enjoying playing in the water. We could not get her out all afternoon, and every time we carried her back, she just kept on walking back by herself, and did not even mind that she was alone in the water. She had such a fear of water before and now she cannot seem to keep away with it. We see this to be a pattern in her behaviour, it was the same with walking, she had no desire to walk, and then a few weeks after she started walking, she walked nearly 5 km's in Kew Gardens, hmmm makes me think what her little personality is going to develop into.
Eden taking a swim, she was incredibly pleased about the temperature, but careful who is that behind you.....
it is daddy pretending to be a shark, he gave her quite a scare.
Ciara wasn't too pleased that the sand made her feet look like this, she moaned until we cleaned it off, dad thought she looked like a Hobbit.
We forgot to take all the spades and buckets along, but this did not stop Eden from digging "long drop" toilets all around our blanket.

Quick eat those ice creams before they melt!!!
