The children's first training run.
Bank holiday, and we woke up to overcast weather, and dad had to go to work - not a great start. But he was home by lunchtime and the sun came out just in time. After waiting for Ciara to wake up, we headed out to Bushy for the children's first training run.
And off they go. We chose a lap in Bushy that looked about 1km, a fair distance to start with.
Niamh sprinted off not realizing the distance.
And here they come on the last stretch back, Niamh is so competitive that when she thought dad was going to beat her, she broke out into an 80m sprint.
And Eden came in too. Just as we thought Niamh seems to be a natural runner, and the distance did not even tire her. In fact a while later she asked if she could do it again, I am sure it won't be long before she realizes her short term goal of running Bushy( her long long term goal is to run a marathon).
We then took a long bike ride to another part of Bushy park where they have opened a new cafe in the Woodland walk, beautiful surroundings. All the children sat in a line unconsciously to eat their ice cream.
And what a lovely surprise to see Grant and Linda, Ethan an Julia arrive.
Partners in mischief, trying to climb a chestnut tree.
Ciara has started running everywhere now, very cute to see such a little one run as fast as her legs can carry her.

Congratulations Neevy for running so fast, you will soon be fit at this rate. It is so precious to see little Ciara running like that, I can't wait to see her, the time is just toooooo long.
Love you all,
nana.
