Thank the Lord we woke up to a beautiful warm sunny day. We were so worried we would have rain the whole time.
A new little girl had arrived, her name is Katy and she loved playing with all our children, here they are having handstand competitions.

We decided to spend the morning by the beach again after a lovely breakfast of eggs, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes and baked beans.
Unfortunately Niamh got stung by a wasp on the face. It was extremely painful, I think it was quite a tender part to get stung. The wasps were a big nuisance on holiday, there were LOADS of them and they were always looking for something sweet when the food came out.
In the afternoon we took a trip to Lulworth Cove, a well know sightseeing spot in South England.
The Cove was so very charming.
And picturesque.
Lots of fresh fish seemed to brought in in fishing boats, the smell was quite overwhelming.
But this is what we really wanted to see(the view over the hill), but we had no idea that the walk would be over such a steep hill. The children were already tired from being on the beach in the morning, but we decided we could not come all this way and not see the main view.
Looking back to Lulworth Cove from halfway up the hill. Calves and quads are already burning, young children are already tiring.
The view from the top, ok, we were just a bit disappointed, this is not what we expected. We thought the journey was finished at the top of the hill, but only just realized that we had to go all the way down the other side too.
Mmmm time for a rest and a bit of decision making. The children did not want to go down the hill, they really felt tired, but the adults really wanted to see Durdle door.
A reward of £2 was offered to the bigger children if they could make the rest of the way without complaining, and a lollipop was offered to the younger children.
Halfway down, the sea is looking gorgeous, but we are still not there.
Looking back, the water looks so clear and inviting.
Further down and more of a view.
But THIS is what we had wanted to see, it must be a familiar sight to everyone - Durdle Door. It was breathtakingly beautiful(the photos really do not capture it), the sea and scenery looked like it was from somewhere in Greece, the children were captivated and the older ones understood why we wanted to walk all this way.
Truly beautiful and worthy of another trip someday to spend the whole day on this beach(with wetsuits mind you).
Three people swimming through the eye, and then for the long walk back up the hill and down again, a total of 2miles of steep hills. The children all finished, and all got their reward!!

The children discovered this haystack a few tents back and spent hours and hours playing there, and making many friends too.

Wow - well done to all of you. It looks like it was so worth the effort. How wonderful to see some special part of God's wonderful creation.
Yes it certainly looked worth the effort and I,m sure you all agree.
What an amazing view, one you will always cherish. Tell the children they were good to go on.........and I am sure were very happy to receive their reward.
